Since it’s just us I’ll take a moment and share. Though not always easy, I enjoy this venture of blogging. Through the month unwavering gratitude & gratefulness has been expressed. Regardless of where you may find yourself in life, there is always something to be grateful for. Sitting in a venue, meeting others around me; there was comfort in engaging in moments of conversation. Sharing moments of serious dialogue, my passion for encouraging others through tumultuous indifferences peaked. To the extent when I got quiet, I sighed deeply. Let me say it like this…..sometimes the very strength of serving is not in front, but sitting beside one who has been surviving from a place of depletion. An initial frown of angst turned into lengthy moments of realizing that Jesus has great things in store. Stretched beyond my capacity of comfort, meeting others who were not in my section was rather strengthening. Whether sharing greetings or at minimal a smile I learned to appreciate what others had to offer in the moment even if just a smile.
Because there are moments where I enjoy not being the smartest person in a venue, I purposely embraced being a learning student. Amidst moments of laughter, and thought-provoking content, being poured into was refreshing. Whew! Let’s work with this for just a moment. There are some who enjoy being poured into for the mere sharing who poured into them or name dropping…..deep sigh. That’s okay….if that’s where you are, just consider what you missed. The proclivity of being poured into had nothing to do with name dropping, but obtaining what was needed providing enough strength to continue serving relevantly. Now that may not mean much to many, but when you know what it is to serve full, thriving on fumes is no longer acceptable.
I’m most grateful that my blessing was not wrapped in popularity, but moments of sitting with others who had been surviving from a place of depletion. Why? Because through those moments depleted vessels were revived, restored and replenished.
Because ministry should no longer be something you just do,
Unwavering Gratitude & Gratefulness,
Loved Through Every Season
